Five of the Best Ultracompact Digital Cameras on the Market for 2007 - Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T20

    Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T20 (est. $260)

I was really impressed with the T20, because of its tiny body which is full of
great features. The T20 measures in at 3.5 x 0.9 x 2.2 inches, and it weighs just 4.5 ounces. This camera comes in black, pink, silver, or white to satisfy anyone's taste.

On paper, the T20's numbers outperform both of the Canon models in this review. The T20 offers an 8.1 mega-pixel CCD, ISO 3200 capability, image
stabilization, face detection, 3x optical zoom, and even HD capability. In order to take advantage of the HD capabilities of the T20, an additional $40 cable needs to be purchased.

The T20 is ultra-quick, thanks to the new Bionz processor which Sony has implemented in this camera. Recent tests have shown shot-to-shot times of about 1.3 seconds, which is a tad quicker than both Canon models in this review.  Image quality is also very good with the T20, but I would give both Canon models a slight edge over this Sony. Viewing the pictures on an HDTV is a great experience and well worth the additional cost of the cable.

Overall, this camera is extremely fast and well-built. Sony is very innovative, and it shows in the T20 with the image stabilization system and the HD capabilites.
