Five of the Best Ultracompact Digital Cameras on the Market for 2007 - Canon PowerShot SD750
(Page 3 of 6 )
Canon PowerShot SD750 (est. $240)The SD750 is the successor to the SD1000, and it was released just a couple of months after the SD1000. The SD750 has a lot in common with the SD1000, and why wouldn't it? The SD1000 was already a great success. The SD750 is a bit bulkier than the SD1000, but it will still easily fit inside your pocket. The dimensions of the SD750 are 3.6 x 0.8 x 2.2 inches, and it weighs just a tad more than the SD1000 at 4.6 ounces.

The SD750 does offer a larger 3 inch LCD display, compared to the 2.5 inch display of the SD1000. Because of the larger display, Canon has removed the optical viewfinder in the SD750. Other than this difference in the two models, these two cameras look almost identical.
The image quality and performance of the SD750 is almost identical to that of the SD1000's. The SD750 offers the same 7.1 mega-pixel CCD sensor as the SD1000. Also similar in both models is the face detections technology, video capability, and various scene modes.
This camera is definitely a winner because of its ease of use, excellent image quality, and ultra-fast performance. For people who do not mind a smaller LCD display, I would choose the SD1000 over the SD750 because of the $40 price difference. The larger 3 inch display on the SD750 is a nice feature to have, though, and many may find the extra $40 to be well worth it.
