Dazzle Digital Video Creator - Software Descriptions
(Page 3 of 5 )
The device comes with the following software, described below: Dazzle MovieStar 5, Dazzle DVD Complete, and Dazzle OnDVD. Dazzle Webcast Theater, included with MovieStar 5, proved interesting enough to rate its own separate description.
Dazzle MovieStar 5 Video Editing Software
Dazzle MovieStar 5 makes it easy to edit your video, but it doesn't leave out the powerful features you want. You can cut unwanted scenes and add 3D transitions, titles and special effects. Set the mood with your favorite background music, or add a voice-over narration to explain important scenes. Use the story or timeline interface for easy, yet professional video editing.
MovieStar 5 includes Background Rendering, Smart Rendering and Fast Rendering technology for superior speed and performance. One editing feature in particular that deserves to be mentioned is the Fast Kut Multi-trimmer. It allows you to edit multiple parts of a clip on the timeline. I found it very useful. You may find it takes a little while to get the hang of it, but once you do I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
That brings me to another point about this software. Be prepared to learn this program on your own, because there are no real directions included with the DVC 80.
Dazzle DVD Complete DVD Authoring and Burning Software
With DVD Complete, you can make DVDs like the ones designed in Hollywood movie studios. DVD Complete's project wizard guides you through the five simple steps to take your video from camcorder to DVD. If you know what you like, DVD Complete will do the rest.
There was a feature that was not mentioned in the box nor in the guide that I accidentally stumbled upon while working on my family DVD. It is the ability to make your own CD/DVD case label. This feature really gives your project that professional finish.
Dazzle OnDVD Digital Photo Album Creation Software
Digital cameras allow you to take an unlimited number of photographs that quickly pile up on your computer and become difficult to manage. With OnDVD, you can turn digital pictures into photo albums for your DVD player. Simply select and arrange your photos as you would for a slideshow, then burn a CD.
OnDVD also allows you to edit your photos. You can even make dark, hard-to-see pictures bright and more viewable. As with MovieStar 5, you can add audio to your slideshow. When you think you're done, you can then preview your slideshow, and if you're ready to call it a "wrap," just click burn to disc. Now you have a digital photo album that you can take anywhere and share with family and friends.
Dazzle Webcast Theater (in MovieStar 5)
MovieStar 5 lets you make Real Media or Windows Media Internet-ready streaming videos. You can upload them for free to the Dazzle Webcasting site to share streaming video across the Internet.
Keep in mind, though, that you only get a tiny amount of space from Dazzle -- just enough for one or two small videos.
This feature lets you share your movies by sending emails, webcasting streaming video via the Dazzle Webcast Theater, posting video to a personal or corporate website, recording video to a CD or DVD or adding video to business presentations.
