The Gateway P172X FX Laptop - Other Pluses

The P172X FX comes loaded with other bonuses as well. Its 5-in-1 Media Card Reader reads memory cards from several digital cameras, camcorders, and other various media devices. The reader works with an array of media programs such as Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital and xD-Picture Card.

Another bell and whistle included on the laptop is the Integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam. This is a great feature that allows users to chat with friends, videoconference for business, or simply take pictures of themselves. The webcam also allows users to save pictures or videos they have taken.

Those concerned with security issues will love the P172X FX’s biometric fingerprint reader. The reader allows its laptop owners to bypass having to remember or use logins or passwords when accessing important files or data. A simple press of their finger allows easy and secure access to all vital data. This is nice peace of mind to have in the unfortunate event that your laptop gets in the wrong hands.

In short, the Gateway P172X FX is a great alternative for those who do not want to lug around a desktop to their gaming functions. The system is chock full of extras and performs well under pressure. The mid range price tag of $1,999 makes it a great choice for those looking for an alternative to more expensive gaming laptops.
