Jetway MiniQ 460B SFF PC Review - Benchmarks

PCMark2002
PCMark2002 is a quick synthetic benchmark to test CPU, memory, and hard drive performance all at once.

TheMiniQ, utilizing the Intel 845 chipset, performs consistently betterthan the iDEQ, which supports the SiS651 chipset. The Intel chipsetbeats the SiS counterpart most significantly in memory performance, asto be expected. SiS is getting there, their chipsets definitely able tofinally compete with Intel chipsets.
SiSoft Sandra
SiSoftSandra 2003 gives us a series of synthetic benchmarks for easyperformance comparison. On both setups we looked at the CPU, CPUMulti-Media, and Memory tests.

The MiniQ 460B again performs consistently better than the iDEQ with SiS chipset, but only by a very small margin.
The Intel performs better than the SiS, but again, only by a very small margin.

Memoryperformance is a totally different story. Like we saw in PCMark2002,the Intel chipsets really do have superior memory bandwidth; enoughreason to choose Intel over SiS.
3DMark2001 SE Build 330
And now, a video test, to compare Intel's Extreme Graphics with the SiS651 chipset video.

In3DMark2001 (default run), the MiniQ and its Intel video performs betterthan the SiS video by about 800 points. This is pretty significant, percentage wise, but what about in real gaming?

While3DMark shows that Intel beat SiS by a significant margin, in actuality, both perform about the same. Furthermore, both are veryweak. Unfortunately, neither chipset's onboard video is really worthanything to gamers. When will Intel have an onboard equivalent to theonboard GF2 MX the nForce boards sport? I'll be waiting.
