HP Pavilion dv71025nr Laptop - Design

In terms of its design, the HP Pavilion dv7-1025nr does look like some of its predecessors in the line. This is not a bad thing, however, and the newest addition has added some subtle changes as well. The exterior or lid of the HP Pavilion dv7-1025nr has a nice glossy black finish that is complemented by a small HP logo in the bottom right corner. This is not just any ordinary logo though, as it even lights up to turn white while the laptop is in use. Of course this does not do anything to improve the actual functionality of the laptop, but it is a cool feature to have for “showoff” factor.

The glossy black exterior of the HP Pavilion dv7-1025nr is complemented nicely when you open the laptop to expose its silver deck, keyboard, and touch pad. Silver and black is a great combo, with which you can pretty much never go wrong. This is one laptop that will definitely add to rather than detract from the attractiveness of a room or office.

The only possible gripe with the design could be that the glossy black finish on the exterior may look dirty at times due to fingerprints. That is a problem to be expected with anything shiny though, and it is the price you pay for having the luxury of its good looks.

The display is by far the most impressive feature of the HP Pavilion dv7-1025nr’s design. New to HP is a frameless black bezel that blends in with the display, providing for a much more refined and sleek look. HP calls this new feature BrightView Infinity, I guess referencing the “never-ending” and flowing look of the display.

The beautiful 17-inch display on the HP Pavilion dv7-1025nr has a 1,680x1,050 native resolution. Due to its highly glossy finish, watching movies, looking at pictures, and surfing the net is a visually tantalizing experience. There is some reflection off of the screen due to the glossy finish, naturally, but the sharpness and colors produced definitely overcome that.
