HP Pavilion Elite HPE-112y and the Dell Inspiron i580-5108NBC - Dell Inspiron i580- 5108NBC

The Dell Inspiron i580-5108NBC is a mainstream desktop tower that can be found in a retail store near you. It is a well-built package that offers good features and good performance, too. The i580-5108NBC is available at a fixed configuration for $800, and comes with a standard one-year warranty on parts and labor.

The Inspiron i580- 5108NBC offers excellent performance thanks to its 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5-650 processor with 4 MB of cache. The i5-650 is part of a newer generation of processors from Intel. It is actually a dual-core processor that has the ability to emulate two extra cores, making it a virtual quad-core processor. This allows you to run several applications at the same time without having severe lags in performance.

This means that all of your daily casual tasks like Internet browsing, instant messaging, multimedia, and even some light gaming can be had without problems. To add to its multitasking power, the i580- 5108NBC comes with 8 GB of DDR3 SDRAM as well, which is a healthy amount.

Light gaming can be had due to the i580-5108NBC's Nvidia GeForce GT220 graphics card, which is an upgrade from other systems that only have integrated graphics. There is plenty of storage on board via a 1 TB hard drive. The operating system that comes pre-installed is Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit.
