Dell Inspiron Zino HD and the HP Pavilion All-in-One MS225 - Pavilion Extra Features and Design

As far as the extra features are concerned, you get 802.11n Wi-Fi for fast wireless network connections. An integrated webcam and microphone are included for video chatting with others. For DVD and CD fans, there is a DVD drive. A 6-in-1 media card reader is also on board for when you need quick transfers of data from other digital devices.

The All-in-One part of the system's moniker is what will most likely attract the most potential buyers to the MS225. Its compact design makes it suitable to fit in many rooms or locales, with the kitchen being its most likely home.

The MS225 has a black and gray color scheme that is unassuming, yet attractive. The 18.5-inch display produces good graphics and is large enough to make the MS225 a worthy device for viewing movies and the like, as long as you don't mind its semi-quiet speakers.

Unlike other nettops, the display on the MS225 is not touch-enabled, so those in search of such capability might want to look elsewhere. The display rests on a silver-colored stand that keeps the system sturdy and in place during sudden movements. A wired mouse and keyboard come with the MS225, so those desiring a cleaner setup will have to spring for such devices in a wireless form.

Connectivity options on the Pavilion MS225 are standard. On the left panel, you will find microphone and headphone jacks, two USB ports, and the media card reader. The back panel houses four more USB ports, an Ethernet port, and another audio jack.

If you really are eager to get a nettop, the HP Pavilion All-in-One MS225 is not a bad choice. Its price and performance are competitive, and it has a decent feature set, even though it lacks a touch-screen. However, if the nettop design is not all that necessary, you may want to opt for a faster budget desktop instead.
