    VOYEURMODS Bad Ass Modded Case

These days most enthusiasts aren’t happy with the plain beige box anymore. Go to just about any Hardware site on the web, and you will see a dedicated case modding section where users show off their l33t dremel/hole saw skills by making their cases look like Swiss cheese. When I started modding, I vowed to always do it myself. But let’s get real…While it is certainly satisfying saying you did it all yourself, most of us don’t have the time/patience/tools to keep up anymore. VoyeurMods to the rescue!!! The guys at VoyeurMods have taken it upon themselves to take not just the plain beige boxes, but the HOTTEST cases out today and take out the worries of flushing your hard earned dough down the drain if you mess up with the dremel. They sent me their Bad Ass case to take a look at.

Intro:These days most enthusiasts aren’t happy with the plain beige boxanymore. Go to just about any Hardware site on the web, and you willsee a dedicated case modding section where users show off their l33tdremel/hole saw skills by making their cases look like Swiss cheese. When I started modding, I vowed to always do it myself. But let’s getreal…While it is certainly satisfying saying you did it all yourself, most of us don’t have the time/patience/tools to keep up anymore.VoyeurMods to the rescue!!! The guys at VoyeurMods have taken it uponthemselves to take not just the plain beige boxes, but the HOTTESTcases out today and take out the worries of flushing your hard earneddough down the drain if you mess up with the dremel. They sent me theirBad Ass case to take a look at.

Here is their description of the Bad Ass on their site:

“Full Aluminum Yellow Tower case, with Full LAG window kit installed for full viewing of all your precious components. This case is all aluminum (except for the front bezel) and really keeps down the temps inside the case. Mounted in the window are 2 Clear 80mm fans to keep that over clocked video card nice and “Chill”. Case comes with 4 additional 80mm black case fans install to help with the cooling. We have also included 13 Silver thumbscrews for easy access without the need for a screwdriver.”

They take the aluminum Chenming full tower cut the Lag window into the side, and pop two clear fans in the window to finish off the look. They also replace all the case screws with thumbscrews to ease maintenance of the case.

Packaging and Contents: Let me start by saying VoyeurMods has some of the BEST packing policies that I have ever seen. The window is protected from scratches (albeit with FedEx envelopes), then the case is wrapped in the original plastic bag. The case is then put in the bottom styrofoam holder, and the case is them filled with peanuts to protect it from moving any further. They finish it off with the invoice and sheet of post delivery instructions, then drop the top Styrofoam holder on. We’ll start with some of those pics. If you’re buying one of their babies, they want to make sure the gorillas at the shipping warehouse have less of a chance dinging it up…

Now I’m not gonna bore you with specs on this case. It’s the Aluminum version of probably the hottest case design out right now, the Chenming ATX 601 Case. 10 bays total, four 5” bays, and six 3.5” bays.
