Project Sinister: Something Sinister This Way Comes - Peeling the Case-Flesh from the Bones

The first thing I did was to strip the case down to its chassis and look it over.

I decided that to suit my sinister theme I wanted to have a bracket to mount my power supply to, rather than just using the existing mounting points on the back of the chassis. I cleaned up the edges of the punched out area, and with same scrap steel from another mod, made a bracket to affix my power supply to. At my shop I always try to maximize the use of materials to really make something original and unique. I have further plans for that bracket that will be seen later on.

Once the power supply cover was made I took stock of the rest of the chassis. The first thing I noticed was the front of the chassis where one of my most significant issues with budget case manufacturers arises. I saw two fan mounts located on the front of the chassis, and yet the bezel is solid plastic. I hate seeing that and there was no way that those fan mounts would exist unused in my mod. However, I did not want to mount the fans horizontally like that.
