    Bullet Window Cutting Continued

    Let's start CUTTIN'

    Dremel in action

Now that we have the bullet area cut out, I put on the smoothing/sanding attachment to get rid of the burrs.

This little sander attachment is a real ballbuster. It'll shred burrs off like no tomorrow and leave the surface smooth as a babies bottom. And it only takes a few seconds to do this as well so it's really worth it to get the finish nice and smooth.

    The finished product

Not too shabby for about 30 to 40 minutes worth of work so far. The taping was a bit tedious but well worth it to preserve the excellent paint scheme from the Antec factory. Using a dremel can be tedious as well since you'll go through about 5 or 6 blades just cutting this out. Heck, a few even got stuck along the way, take a look.

    Fan Grill Removal

Alright, now lets move on to dremeling (is that even a word?) out those annoying stock fan grills. For most PC builders, these things are great as they provide a nice grill to keep fingers and large objects from getting into the fan. However I want to lower the feedback noise a bit while increasing airflow into and out of the case. So these suckers gotta go. Not to mention it should help the LED fans to get the full effect w/out any stock grills in the way.

Of course I should be wearing some form of eye protection but I was both too lazy and stubborn to wear any.

After all the cutting is done, we have "spare parts". I'll sell these to anyone cheap. EMAIL me if you're interested.

Let's checkout the Antec case minus fan grills and a big chunk of top missing.

After you cut everything you'll want to cut, I usually take a garden hose and a small towel to clean up the cutting residue. I also let it sit in the sun for awhile to dry up any excess water I haven't been able to dry myself. The case is also noticeably lighter after all the cutting. A side benefit of the mods since this particular case is not aluminum. Now let's get to installing that sweet bullet window.
